Hello to all the other Tumblr refugees! That sounds dramatic. I’m feeling dramatic, I guess. I don’t have any plans to shut down my Tumblr but by the same token I don’t know what’s coming. 

Anyway, I’m a fic writer and have been since way back. But oddly enough I was never on fandom social media before Tumblr. What an intro, right? Here on DW, I’ll be posting fic of my own and recommending fic from others. Just gotta figure out the best way to do that on this platform.

Hey, as a person whose stories I will definitely be reccing, maybe you can weigh in. If I'm linking to a Tumblr story that you did, would you prefer a crosspost of the Tumblr reblog, tagged with your name, or just a link right to the story on Tumblr? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do recs cross-platform.

I definitely did not mean to ignore this! I just sort of...forgot this site existed? I haven't had a cool journal type thing like this since I was a kid, so it slipped my mind. But yeah, crossposting sounds cool. I need to go figure out how it works here. Probably good to just link to the posted story itself? I kind of want to start archiving my fave stories, both mine and others, to here. Especially the short stories/drabbles on Tumblr that aren't on AO3. Way easier to search for them here.

Oh don't be! You had a few things going on, and maintaining a presence on multiple platforms is hard. I've kind of given up on Pillowfort, mostly because I haven't found an easy way of cross-posting.

You can probably tell but I did settle on doing weekly-ish rec lists with a link to either Tumblr or AO3.

In case you're interested, I crosspost my own stuff to DW by using a service called IFTTT, where I have it set up to automatically send anything I tag on Tumblr with a specific tag to the post-by-email link on this site. Then it's just a matter of remembering it's here and coming over to polish up the formatting.
