Today the after-school crowd were so hyped up and zooey that one of my habitual loud talkers (this kid has a serious future as a color commentator because he has to narrate everything that happens to him in Fortnite for the benefit of the entire library) came in and said, "Wow, miss, it's noisy in here."

Me (resisting with all my might the temptation to say, "and you just got here!"): "Mmmmhm, sure is."
